Change is in the Air: Shaping UK-EU Relations in the Post-Brexit Era (invite-only)

21 June | 11:00 – 12:15 (CEST) | Boardroom

About the Session

The EU in 2024 is not the same as it was when the UK made its decision to leave the bloc in 2016. Nor is the same as in 2020, when the terms of departure were negotiated. Changes in the geopolitical landscape have instead triggered new EU ambitions, strategies and instruments, so far with varied levels of success. Going forward, the EU’s ability to forge mutually beneficial partnerships with like-minded allies, for whom EU membership is not an option, will be a central success factor when it comes to adapting to new realities. This session explores how shifts in EU interests may - or may not - have implications for future relations with the UK.
