State Secretary for Media Policy and Plenipotentiary of the Land of Baden-Wuerttemberg to the Federation of Germany

Rudi Hoogvliet is State Secretary for Media Policy and Plenipotentiary of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg to the Federal Republic of Germany. As State Secretary, he is also responsible for the development policy of Baden-Wuerttemberg. Prior to his appointment as State Secretary, he was Government Spokesman in the Cabinet of Minister President Winfried Kretschmann from 2011 to 2021. He became a member of Alliance 90/The Greens in 1987 and has worked for the party in various capacities since then. From 1993 to 2011, he was an advisor to the executive committee of the Alliance 90/The Greens parliamentary group in the state parliament of Baden-Wuerttemberg. During this time, he led the Alliance 90/The Greens election campaign for the German Bundestag in the 2002, 2005 and 2009 elections.
