Joanna Kamińska is part of the Management Board of the Polish Green Party Zieloni. She currently works as an advisor in the mediation team of the European Parliament, where she supports the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. From 2019 to 2022, she was an advisor to the President of the European Parliament David Maria Sassoli on foreign and security affairs, in particular on Eastern policy, the Eastern Partnership, Ukraine, Russia, Nordic, Arctic and Baltic strategies, as well as security and defence. Prior to advising the President, she was a foreign and security policy advisor to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament. Joanna holds a PhD from the University of London, Royal Holloway College and is the author of numerous publications on foreign policy and eastern neighbourhood issues. Her last book published by Palgrave Macmillan is entitled Poland and the EU Enlargement: Foreign Policy in Transition. Since 2018, she is also a member of the Brussels City Council (Etterbeek) on behalf of the Belgian Green Party Ecolo.
