Holger Mann was Member of the Saxon State Parliament for the SPD from 2009 to 2021. There, he was spokesperson for science and higher education as well as business, technology and digitalisation. In the 2021 federal elections, Mann was Saxony's top SPD candidate for the Bundestag and now represents the Leipzig I constituency in Berlin. He is involved in local politics in an honorary capacity as chairman of the Leipzig SPD city association. He graduated from the University of Leipzig with a degree in politics, journalism and history.
