Anna Sauerbrey has been foreign editor at Die Zeit since 2022. She writes regularly about Germany for international publications such as the New York Times and CNN Opinion. She also comments on current political events on Deutschlandfunk Kultur. Previously, she was deputy editor-in-chief of Der Tagesspiegel and was honoured as Journalist of the Year 2019 in the category 'Best Regional Editor-in-Chief'. She studied in Mainz and Bordeaux.
