Richard Kaniewski has been a political adviser in the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Transport since 2019. Following the election of 2019, he rejoined the City Council of Dresden as a voluntary deputy, where he currently serves as spokesperson for the General Administration, Public Order and Security, Culture and Gender Equality. His professional life started in 2010, by joining the staff of the Social Democratic Parliament Party Leader Martin Dulig, becoming his personal assistant less than a year later. After the statewide elections in 2014, he started to work for the Saxon State Administration, in various positions at the office of State Minister Petra Köpping.
